COD: Black Ops 6

Black Ops 6 is a really good recovery from the absolute disaster that several of the previous franchise releases were. Games themselves should be held up to a certain standard, and even more so when it's from a AAA company that's been around for quite sometime.

So what're we looking at for what is enjoyable about the game?

--- The graphics are great. The detail put into the weapons, eyes, skin, hair... you name it.

--- Weapon recoil isn't something straight out of Sci-Fi, and is way better than previous entries.

--- So far, weapons don't seem extremely unbalanced.

--- Servers aren't a dumpster fire upon the first 3 months post-launch... which is surprising.

--- Weapon variety isn't quite there yet, but there's still a good number of choices to pick from.

--- Zombies is back to it's good ol' round-based roots... but while holding onto some things introduced in DMZ and Cold War.

--- Game size is down... a little... from previous entries. For now.

Now, what do we not like?

--- First off, the price tag. There's no reason for games to keep rising in price. Especially when there's plenty of micro-transactions.

--- The internet-bound gameplay. You can't enjoy anything outside the campaign without having to hold a good, stable net connection.

--- There's no way to have a private zombies lobby, so have fun with the greifers that play to ruin your game.

--- MP could use a bit more map variety... I shouldn't be getting the same two or three maps constantly.

--- If you happen to have an unstable connection at any point... good job losing some progress. I've had my net drop for a whopping .5 seconds, and then be completely removed from lobbies... and the entire game.

So where are we now? Well... we're getting there. I'm highly against games being super bound to the net, as it severely restricts the number of people that can fully enjoy a game by quite a lot. There will be tons of people that won't buy the game purely because they can't enjoy an offline zombies match. Compared to the previous four of five titles, BO6 is a major improvement to the series. I honestly don't remember the last time I was able to play a COD at launch and not be a constant victim to crappy servers with everyone else. If you have a good, reliable net connection and like COD... then go for it. If not, stay away as it'll be a waste of your money outside of the campaign.
